Keep the Energy Flowing with the MXJO 3000mAh 35A Battery

ICR = LiCoO2 (also called LCO)
IMR = LiMn2O4 (also called LMO)
IFR = LiFePO4 (also called LFP)

The MXJO product sheet claims that it’s: “Constructed with safe and secure IMR cells, the battery is integrated with features that reduces flame and explosion.” However on another website called Candle Power Forums the writer asserts that “The term “IMR” simply indicates that LiMn2O4 is a major component of the cathode. It does not necessarily indicate that a cell has exceptional rate capability or improved safety characteristics, properties often incorrectly associated with cells with the IMR designation.” So there you have it. Two opposing opinions on the same matter. When in doubt, play it cautious. We’re NOT saying these particular batteries are less safe. Only that it would be prudent to expect the same safety benchmarks as any other 18650 Li-Ion and nothing more.
