Barely Legal – Online Marketing in the Vaping World

We live in exciting times. Technology continues to disrupt just about every part of our lives and law makers are are no exception. When we started the website we wanted to bring healthy choices to smokers. It seemed like a good idea. Vaping had helped us kick the combustion habit and we wanted to share the good news.

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, knowing something and legally sharing the information are 2 different things. We were blocked from any advertising that might suggest we had found a way to quit smoking. Further into our research we discovered that medicinal users were still burning their dope! The doctors are prescribing marijuana but telling them to smoke it! We all know what sucking smoke into our lungs does. Vaping herbs means no (or at least way less) carcinogens, better assimilation and less quantity of this valuable herb is used. Desktop and portable vaporizers save you money and provide a cleaner method of delivery, but we’re not allowed to talk about that.

Enter CBD. Of course, when the Wall Street crowd read the literature on CBD (there’s an excellent article in Wired Magazine by one of their staff writers about his very expensive and successful trip to England to work with a Pharmaceutical company there that manufacturers CBD to relieve his sons seizures – with wonderful results), a new gold rush began. Beyond health food stores and Pot stores they didn’t have a lot of market penetration.

The Online Vaping Community (OVC) is used to working on the fine line between breaking technology, modern health and the law, so hey! Here we are. We’ve taken on the Gold standard, from CannaVest. From Seed to plant to oil they are dedicated to providing safe access to ecologically grown, non-GMO hemp products at fair prices.

Currently we are selling CBD in the US but will be adding a Canaian supplier soon (we hope). The problem is even though CBD is derived from hemp and contains less than 3% THC, governments don’t like it crossing borders and the Canadian government still classified CBD as a Schedule II controlled substance!(editors note: yeah, that got shut down)

Hopefully a more forward thinking government will replace the ruling Conservatives in the next election (2 weeks!) and Canada will begin bringing it’s policies into the 21rst Century.

Our current Prime Minister (Harper) believes marijuana is more harmful that alcohol. :).

So the take-away is: If you’re looking for a forward looking company to offer leading edge technology in areas where others dare not tried, visit your friendly vape store online. Commonwealth for Common Health.
